Anne Hathaway Wearing Rainbow Suit This Spring That is Incredible

Are you one of those who wake up and begin the day by scrolling Instagram? Might be your morning look similar to something like this on 16th March 2022? Scroll to Bella Hadid, like by double-tap and repeat, scroll to SKIMS swim launch, double-tap and repeat, scroll to Anne Hathaway’s triple-rap and save the post. She is wearing the rainbow jumpsuit and brought a surprising pop of color to your fashion timeline. This is something outstanding seen not very often and the makeover scene in The Devil Wears Prada.

After appearing as Andy in The Devil Wears Prada back in 2006, Anne Hathaway established herself as a fashion icon. We’ve been experiencing a Hathaway fashion dry spell. She rarely posted post street-style pics or thirst traps on Instagram, so all we have for A-list inspiration are some red carpet moments. No one can really imagine the surprise got when saw Anne Hathaway pictured on the street of New York City in an fantastic rainbow jumpsuit. The floral look for spring may no longer be groundbreaking, but Hathaway’s latest look certainly is.

She also wore a rainbow polka dot wide-leg jumpsuit with a belt cinched at the waist. The look was completed with a matching oversized blazer, strappy purple heels, and minimal jewelry. With a casual ponytail, Hathaway’s look felt more grounded and was the perfect choice for her arrival on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The colorful ensemble can be attributed to New York based designer, Christopher John Rogers, who is also known for designing over-the-top colorful looks. Christopher designs have been worn by celebrities ranging from Michelle Obama to Cardi B—and now Anne Hathaway is added to the list officially.

The striped rainbow dress from Christopher John Rogers’ Spring/Summer ’2021 collection shares the same vibe as Hathaway’s look and is a fantastic example of Rogers’ design aesthetic.

Actress’ personal aesthetics typically more towards minimalism. She often wears denim, neutral sweaters, and classically glamorous dresses-she is an upscale version of her character Andy. Her Christopher John Rogers look reminded me of the scene in the movie where Miranda Priestly gets a makeover, and I’m sure she would be pleased.

She mentioned in her interview with Stephen Colbert, she had worked on “a baby” in the last three years and was excited to be back in front of a live audience. We are hopeful to get many more fashion moments from the actress as she starts to promote the AppleTV+ series, We Crashed, about the fall of WeWork which she stars in with Jared Leto.

In the meantime, we can celebrate that one of the OG fashion icons has returned. Her rainbow jumpsuit is a win for maximalist fashionistas – no makeover needed.
